The Visual Arts, Design & Technology community came together on Wednesday 5th November for our much-anticipated End-of-Year ADT Domain Exhibition — and what an extraordinary celebration it was. The Holloway Innovation Centre was buzzing with energy as families, staff, students and friends explored an inspiring showcase of work from Years VCE Visual Arts, Visual Communication Design, Media, Food Studies, and our dedicated Year 7-9 Art Academy program.
This year’s exhibition highlighted the exceptional breadth and depth of creativity across the domain. From expressive paintings and sculptural forms to intricate architectural models, typography explorations, animations, photography series, digital design work, and self-directed Art Academy projects, the show demonstrated remarkable technical growth, creativity and conceptual development.
Our Art Academy students (Years 7–9) presented an impressive body of self-directed work, including artist books, painting, illustration, sculpture, mixed media and a collaborative project, the group mural. Their commitment to extending their practice beyond the classroom shone through in the originality and ambition behind their pieces.
A special acknowledgement goes to our Year 9 Art Academy students, whom we proudly farewelled after completing three wonderful years in the program.
On the exhibition night, we recognised a number of outstanding students whose dedication, creativity and craftsmanship set them apart:
People’s Choice Award: Lucy Roberts
These students demonstrated excellence in skill, process, creativity and commitment. Congratulations to all award recipients!
A huge thank you to the entire ADT team for their tireless work throughout the year and in preparing the exhibition — planning, designing, mounting displays, organising logistics, supporting students, and creating a warm and celebratory atmosphere.
Two extra special shout-outs go to:
Scott Hobson for organising the live student music performances that added so much to the ambience of the evening.
We also raised $385 from the sale of cards and badges featuring student artwork — funds that will directly support future ADT initiatives.
