Speak & Share Fun Run

This Sunday morning, a group of Sandringham College staff and their families will be taking part in the annual Speak & Share Fun Run in Dromana.

If you live on the Peninsula and would like to cheer us on, we’d love to see some familiar faces at the finish line! You won’t miss us - we’ll be in our college navy blue running singlets.

Several members of our team are tackling the half marathon (21.1km!), while others are participating in the shorter events - I’ll be sticking to the 5km race myself!

If you see any of our dedicated athletes around the school this week, please wish them well. Many have been training for months in preparation for this event.

Year 8 Boys Baseball - State Finals

Congratulations to our Year 8 Boys Baseball team who made it through to the Victorian state finals recently. The commitment to training every lunch time with Mr Christopoulos was fantastic. We didn't come home with a medal but the boys gave it their best!

Year 7 Gala Day

This was the first opportunity for our Year 7's to compete in a full day tournament through the Kingston division. Sandringham College had three girls and two boys teams at handball. This day is all about learning a new sport and competing against local schools in a fun and educational environment. While there is a winner of each competition, this is not the aim. Our teams had a blast and teachers, Miss Dowling and Mr Broomhall, reported a high level of development from start to end of day.

Year 8 Gala Day

On the Year 8 Gala Day, the college had two boys' Super 8s cricket teams, two girls handball teams and one girls Super 8s cricket team. Just like the Year 7s, we saw a lot of growth from the students and a lot of fun was had along the way.

Student Success

Congratulations to Steffen Punt of Year 8 for making it into the Victorian State Team for indoor hockey. This team will play at Nationals during January in Goulburn. Good luck Steffen!

Swimming Carnival 2026

Please save the date for our 2026 swimming carnival. This is for participants only and is to be held at Oakleigh Recreation Centre. Registrations will open at the start of Term 1 in 2026.
