A Night to Remember: Year 12 Formal

The Year 12 Formal came at the perfect time for our Class of 2026, right in the middle of Term 2, when they needed a time to relax and enjoy themselves. 

There were over 270 students who attended the Formal, as well as over 20 staff members who wanted to celebrate the night with this incredible group of students.  

Throughout the night, we ate great food, celebrated students’ individuality with many awards, heard speeches from our School Captains and danced the night away. 

A highlight of the night, was watching a video that the students had made, interviewing all Year 12 students. The students will hold this memory close to their hearts, and it will help them get through those tough times in Year 12! 

How our School Captains found the night: 

The Year 12 formal was a lovely opportunity to connect with the year level and take a well needed break from school! It was so great to see everyone dressed up and having fun on the dance floor, and the brilliant formal video was definitely a highlight for many. I’d also like to say a massive thank you to the formal committee, all the teachers involved in the night, and the amazing venue staff who allowed the night to run smoothly.

What a night our Year 12 Formal was! It was one of, if not the most, anticipated events for the graduating Class of 2026. The evening was truly memorable, with both students and teachers dressing to impress, taking photos, sharing laughs, and showing off their moves on the dance floor. A highlight for many, including myself, was watching the Year 12 Formal video created by our hardworking and dedicated Formal Committee. A huge thank you to our staff and the Formal Committee for all the effort and planning that went into making this magical night possible. It was a night to remember and a memory that we will cherish for years to come.

Year 12 Formal was certainly an unforgettable night, filled with amazing memories, laughter, and a well-deserved break from all the chaotic studying. Everyone looked stunning, and it was so special to see us all gathered together. The venue was so beautiful, and the night ran perfectly—a huge thank you to the Formal Committee for all their hard work and dedication! It was wonderful seeing everyone on the dance floor, taking countless photobooth pictures, and simply enjoying the evening together.

The Prefect’s have also been working hard to bring our cohort together throughout these colder months, such as movies at lunchtime in the Common Room and hot chocolate station before the GAT to help warm them up and keep them motivated!
