Middle School update

by Ms Mia Withers, Head of Middle School

What a term it has been! Term 2 has been an incredibly busy and exciting time for our Year 9 and 10 students, filled with wonderful events, learning opportunities, and memorable experiences.

We are so proud of everything our students have achieved this term!

Year 9 Highlights

After returning from the City Experience Camp, our Year 9 students have continued to build on their learning with great enthusiasm:

  • Geography Project: Students have channelled their Camp research into a fantastic group project, with presentations completed in the final two weeks of term. It was wonderful to see the depth of thinking and collaboration on display.

  • Electives: Students have also been busy with a range of exciting projects across their elective subjects — the creativity and effort on show has been truly impressive.

Year 10 Highlights

Our Year 10 students reached a major milestone this term by completing their first ever exams! Attendance was fantastic, and the effort and attitude shown by every student was even better.

We hope you are incredibly proud of yourselves — this is a significant achievement and a valuable experience that will serve you well in the years ahead. Well done, Year 10!

Additionally, last week students participated in the second Connections/METEC Day, and what a day it was!

Looking Ahead

Subject selection and course counselling for Term 3 is just around the corner. Students attended assemblies in Week 10 to receive important information about this process.

Please keep an eye out on Compass for further communication.

As we head into the holiday break, we want to wish all of our Year 9 and 10 students and their families a very well-deserved and relaxing rest.

Recharge those batteries — Term 3 is set to be another big one, with subject selection and plenty more exciting learning on the horizon!
