It’s important to raise awareness of ongoing discrimination, celebrate progress and encourage communities to stand together to create more inclusive environments where LGBTQIA+ people feel seen, supported and equal.

RECONCILIATION Week 

BHHS Marrung Reconciliation Action Plan group organised activities for students to undertake in the classroom and across lunchtime such as native seed planting, bracelet making, painting and being curious about how we can continue to learn about reconciliation in Australia together.

Grief and Loss Resources for Parents and Young People

When your teen loses someone or something important to them, it can be a really tough time. 

 

They might not express their grief in ways you expect, and they may struggle to process their feelings in healthy ways. 

 

As a parent or carer, it’s important to hold space for your teen during times of grief and loss. Learn about the many forms grief can take, how it might affect your teen, and how you can provide support that works for them.

For parents, taking a moment to step back and reflect on that pressure is a powerful way to support them. Our quiz helps parents look at how their expectations are communicated and offers practical ways to approach study stress as a team.

A national survey of 10,000 parents has found almost 60 per cent are experiencing psychological distress, impacting the quality of time they spend with their children. 

 

Experts have warned this could have dramatic consequences, with calls for governments to do more to address cost-of-living pressures and housing affordability.
