Ths term for Performing Arts we have been focusing on Dance.
Foundation/Prep
The Preps have been busy singing and dancing this term.
They have been singing "You are my Sunshine" beautifully. We have also practised singing the Anthem and I am Australian.
The Preps have thoroughly enjoyed dancing to :If your happy and you know it", "the Ants come marching in" as well as "Head, shoulders knees and toes".
Level 1/2
Level 1/2 have been busy singing and dancing this term.
They have practised singing the Anthem, the koukabara sits in the old gum tree, Give me a home amongst the gum trees, the Ants come marching in and I am Australian the Indigenous version.
Level 1/2 have thoroughly enjoyed dancing to Good Life, Pump it, Tai Chi, Zorba, Persian dancing, Indigenous, Disco and Rock.
Level 3 to 6
Level 3 to 6 have been busy singing and dancing this term.
They have been singing "Seven" beautifully. We have also practised singing the Anthem, Koukabara sits in the old gum tree, Give me a home amongst the gum trees and "I am Australian" the Indigenous version.
Level 3 to 6 have thoroughly enjoyed dancing to "Good Life, Pump it, Unstoppable, Tai Chi, Zorba, Persian dancing, Indigenous, Disco and Rock.
DPS Choir,Dance and Band
The Choir students are:Julia,Varvara, Bella, Sveltia, Chloe Y, Yujin, Regina, Hanna K, Cindy, Zara, Amelia, Jiliyo, Melody, Fatima, Clara, Ruchen and Alicia
The Band students are: Clara 5F piano, Ruchen 6 violin, Alicia5HCello, Cindy 4D, Zara4D vocals, Cindy 4D Vocals

The Choir students have been learning and rehearsing The National Anthem, I am Australian Indigenous version, Doremi, I still call Australia home, Kalimera, Reach and Seven.
The Dance students have been rehearsing Reach. Well done to Jasmine for choreographing and leading the group.
The school band has been rehearsing the song Seven.
A big shout out to all these students for giving up two lunchtimes each week. They have remembered to come to practise each week as well as bring thier musical instruments each week to school. Well done!
I am so excited to introduce Music in Term 2.
