Final updates for 2025

What a fantastic last two weeks of the 2025 school year we have had!

Students have been kept busy with the Festival of Learning and Transition to Year 12 Week; we have celebrated the Semester 2 achievements of students at the Academic Awards Assemblies, shared Lessons and Carols at the Cathedral, revealed our splendid edition of the Yearbook, The Ascalon, and come together as a school community to celebrate 2025 in magnificent style at both Tuesday’s Presentation Afternoon and Wednesday night’s Presentation Evening.

Before we all dissolve into holiday mode, just a couple of reminders for rounding off the year.

  • This week students have been bringing home their resources and equipment from their lockers. We encourage students to sort through their things straight away so that they can put aside those items that can still be used in 2026. They also need to keep their lock in a safe place for next year.

It is a good idea to do a uniform audit whilst both summer and winter uniform are still accessible this week. For 2026, the old shirt has been phased out, so all students will now require the new shirt and school tie.

  • It is also an excellent time to put blazers in for dry-cleaning so they are ready to go for our first Chapel service of next year.

  • Families looking to purchase uniform items for the commencement of the 2026 school year are advised that Tara Uniforms will be closed for the Christmas break from Friday 19 December until Monday 6 January 2026. Their normal opening hours will resume then from 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday. They will also be closed on Monday 26 January for Australia Day. Families can order uniforms online at www.tarauniforms.com.au or in person at 1 Hasler Road in Osborne Park.

Information regarding the start of the 2026 school year will be sent to families in mid-January.

I hope all our St George’s family have a restful, rejuvenating and safe Christmas break.
