What a camp! Our Year 9 cohort embraced every moment of their adventure, even when the weather seemed determined to keep us guessing. Rain, shine, and everything in between, the students remained enthusiastic and fully engaged, throwing themselves into activities ranging from zip-lining and abseiling to kayaking and, of course, the ever-popular dam swims. Their willingness to challenge themselves and support one another set a wonderful tone for the entire experience.

Evenings were just as memorable, with lively group activities such as Growth Hunting encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and more than a few laughs. As camp drew to a close, students took time to reflect on their personal growth and the strengths they saw in others. It was heartening to watch them thoughtfully recognise qualities like resilience, caring, fairness, and honesty in their peers, awarding stickers to celebrate the positive attributes demonstrated throughout the week. These moments of reflection truly highlighted their maturity and sense of community built through the camp programs.
The fun didn’t stop there. During the Festival of Learning, the Year 9s brought an impressive amount of energy to our “Mini-Olympics” and showed great creativity and teamwork in the Head of Year Task Master challenges. It was a pleasure to see them enjoying themselves, supporting one another, and finishing the term on such a positive and strong note. Year 9s you have all finished well, congratulations.
I wish all our Year 9 students a restful and enjoyable holiday break. I look forward to hearing about their achievements as they progress into Year 10 and continue their journey into Senior School in 2026.
What an amazing year it has been for our Year 10 cohort—and we certainly ended it with a bang! Throughout the year, students have learned valuable lessons about themselves and the people around them. They have shown resilience when faced with challenges and demonstrated empathy and kindness toward friends who needed support. It has been a privilege to watch them grow not only academically, but personally, socially and emotionallyocially as well. They are ready for Year 11 and to spread their wings as our Senior Students.

As always, friendships have played a significant role in shaping the Year 10 journey. New connections have formed, some friendships have shifted in nature, and others have been strengthened and truly cemented. These evolving relationships reflect the maturity and self-awareness our students continue to develop as they prepare for their senior years.
One of the standout moments of the Festival of Learning was our Head of Year excursion. We began with an energetic morning of sports at UWA, followed by a relaxed sausage sizzle and social time at Matilda Bay. The students enjoyed swimming, chatting, and making the most of their time together. A personal highlight—depending on how you look at it—was the impressive teamwork displayed as a group of boys enthusiastically tackled me into the water. Thank you, gentlemen… you certainly kept things memorable!
Well done to every Year 10 student on successfully making it through to Senior School. I wish you all a safe, relaxing holiday break and the very best for 2026. I look forward to seeing the incredible things you will achieve in the years ahead. Stay true to yourself and keep working hard. What you put into life equates to what you get out of life.
