Our students had an exciting day visiting some of Perth’s iconic landmarks. A highlight was stopping by the diocesan office, where they had the chance to meet Bishop Kate and snap a photo with her. Adding to the star-studded experience, students also met Harley Reid from the West Coast Eagles (cover picture) - two celebrities in one day! This can only happen in a city school!

A great day out was had for our students in Science (Scitech) and Maths (Kings Park). The Year 7 maths activity centred on the intersection of art and geometry – studying Paul Klee and creating their own geometric drawings. Year 8 visited Kings Park, putting their trigonometry skills to the test by calculating the height of trees. A great way to combine mathematics with real-world learning in a beautiful setting. Year 9 went Geocaching, with the best group finding 7 of them!

Art students collaborated on the stunning art installation that will soon grace 441 Murray Street in recognition of all members of the staff and student community when we first set foot into 441 Murray Street in July 2025. The project unfolded over several days, showcasing creativity and teamwork across year levels.
On 4 December, Year 7 students began the process by adding vibrant colours to sheets of paper, laying the foundation for the design. The following day, Friday, 5 December, Year 8 students took on the task of cutting and gluing the forms, bringing structure to the artwork. Finally, on Monday, 8 December, Year 10 students assembled the intricate paper flowers onto canvases, preparing them for display. The completed installation is set to debut in January 2026, offering a beautiful testament to student collaboration and artistic expression. Watch this space.

Designed to spark curiosity and collaboration, the festival offered dynamic workshops that encouraged students to explore new skills and take creative risks.
Students selected their preferred activities, ensuring they could engage in areas of genuine interest while stepping outside their comfort zones. The result was an atmosphere of enthusiasm and energy, with students fully immersed in every discipline.

Highlights included a fascinating tour of His Majesty’s Theatre, a spooky transformation of Studio 2 with candlelight, and the excitement of Studio 1, where students embraced singing, acting, and dancing with courage and joy. Across the festival, they worked as all-round artists, developing performance skills, supporting one another, and having fun along the way.
