The past two weeks marked a major milestone for our Year 11 students as they embarked on the ‘Transition to Year 12’ Program with a week designed to build confidence, momentum, and unity ahead of their final year. Guided by our 2026 theme Embrace, Excel, Empower, students were encouraged to step forward with courage, strive for excellence, and celebrate the power of community.
The week began with a memorable day camp at Swan Valley Adventure Centre. As their last camp together, it was a celebration of teamwork, laughter, and resilience. Students embraced challenges, excelled in their efforts, and empowered one another through encouragement. It was a fitting farewell before stepping into a new chapter.
Throughout the week, students engaged in inspiring workshops, including a self-defence seminar that reinforced personal responsibility, self-awareness, and confidence. Mid-week, the cohort enjoyed the Walk the Bridges, completing team challenges along the Swan River loop. This scenic experience encouraged reflection on goals and highlighted the importance of balance, wellbeing, and collaboration.
A standout moment was Inspire Day, focused on resilience, relationships, and positive mindset.

Through group activities and reflection, students explored what it truly means to Embrace, Excel, and Empower - supporting one another through triumphs and setbacks as they prepare to lead the school community.
The program concluded with University Visits or School-Based Activities, offering practical insights into life beyond graduation. Whether exploring future learning spaces or engaging in tailored workshops, students left feeling prepared and motivated.
Transition to Year 12 was more than a series of events, it was a launchpad into their final year. We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026, ready to embrace challenges, excel in learning, and empower one another every step of the way.
I am excited next year to move into my new role as Associate Dean of School Operations and hand over the Head of Year 11 & 12 role to a new member of staff Miss Giorgia Bakeberg. I will continue to support the year group, albeit from a distance and wish them all a wonderful final year of school.
