Presentation Afternoon for our Year 7 and 8s, and Presentation Evening for our Year 9, 10 and 11 students, certainly showcased the dedication, growth and resilience our students have demonstrated throughout the 2025 academic year. Whether through academic excellence, personal growth or service to others, the commitment of our students was on full display and it was a joy to be a part of.
To all our award recipients, congratulations! Your efforts are truly commendable, and you should be proud of what you’ve accomplished this year. To all students—keep striving, stay curious, and continue to challenge yourselves in the year ahead; who knows next year might just be your year.
Next week, Year 10, 11 and 12 families will receive a link with a passcode from Events@St George's to access and download professional photography taken on Presentation Evening (10 December). We look forward to seeing Rift Photography's pictures of Presentation Evening.
Semester Two Academic Reports for Years 7 to 11, along with Instrumental Music Reports, will be available via SEQTA Learn and SEQTA Engage on Friday, 12 December.
These reports offer valuable insights into each student’s learning progress and provide a strong foundation for reflection, goal-setting, and growth in 2026. We encourage all students and families to take the time to read through the feedback carefully and to celebrate their progress—not just results.
The 2025 Booklists for students in Years 7 through 12 are now available. Orders can be placed using the PDF order forms linked below, or by visiting the school website directly:

As I write my final article for The Dragon and prepare to conclude my time at St George’s Anglican Grammar School, I do so with a deep sense of gratitude, pride and affection.
To our students, families, and staff, thank you. It has been a genuine privilege to work alongside you throughout this past year. From helping students navigate their subject choices and post-school pathways, to sharing laughs and learning in the day-to-day rhythm of school life, I have cherished every moment.
I’m particularly thankful for the opportunities this role has given me to grow as an educator. The lessons I’ve learned at St George’s—through rich conversations, courageous students, and a team of passionate professionals and educators—will stay with me for years to come. This is a truly unique and special school, and one that offers an enriching educational experience unlike any other for its students. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of it, albeit for a short time.
While I will miss this vibrant city community, I also look forward to new challenges and to being able to spend more time with my family. I carry with me the spirit of St George’s and the memories of a school that always dares to do things differently—and better.
Thank you once again for a fantastic year. I leave with full confidence in the continuing journey of this remarkable school community and with enormous admiration for our students—your creativity, humour, and drive are nothing short of inspiring. I also leave you in the capable hands of Mr Anthony Bochrinis so I know that you will be cared for and supported academically in the years ahead.
Wishing you all a restful break, a joyful holiday season, and continued success in the years to come.
