Outstanding achievements

As we draw the curtains on the year 2020, it has been fantastic to be able to enjoy some of the events that we would have expected to enjoy right throughout any other "normal" year. The Year 7 Reward Day to Jamberoo was a huge success and the behaviour displayed by our students was outstanding. It was great to see all of Year 10 display such a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards our "Nail It" Careers program, which was expertly led by Mrs Reid and the Careers/Transition team. Last week, we were able to celebrate the success of our students at our Presentation and Focus Assemblies and once again, congratulations to everyone who received an award at these assemblies.
Special mention must go to the following students for achieving in the top three academically their year groups:
Year 7
Montana Wasif - 3rd Place
Lucas Kim - 2nd Place
Paige Lee - Dux of Year 7
Year 10
Lisa Huang - 3rd Place
Savo Anicic - 2nd Place
Annabelle Su - Dux of Year 10
I would also like to recognise our CHAMPs who received the most CHAMP points throughout the year for being respectful, responsible and successful:
Year 7
In Year 7, Mikayla Khushaba, Lyon Nguyen, Veronica Rolevski, Fiona Dang and Briarna Nile all received close to 150 points which is a massive achievement. Grace Peters was our top performer throughout the year and received a total of 166 points, an amazing achievement.
Year 10
In Year 10, Rosalind Ros, Zachary Tran, Jayden Fong and Marios Yousif all received over 100 points but well clear on 140 points was Correy Wu. Once again, a fantastic effort by all. Well done Year 10!
Congratulations
To Year 7 and Year 10, I would like to thank you for the way in which you have approached this year. You have shown great resilience and determination to be able to adapt so quickly to the many changes and challenges that have been thrown at you and your efforts will place you in a great position for even greater success in 2021. I would also like to thank all of the parents who have supported the school and your child's learning through these times and I look forward to continuing this great partnership in the coming years. Finally, a massive thank you to all of the teachers of Year 7 and 10 who have adapted and overcome all obstacles in such a difficult year. Special thanks to our sensational Year Advisers, Miss Cupac, Mr Wilcox, Miss Miletic and Mr Dunn for your tireless efforts in supporting our students.
I hope you all have a fantastic holiday and I look forward to seeing you all in 2021!
