Stars and Yarn

Stars and Yarn end of year rewards day

Throughout the year, our Refugee and Aboriginal students have worked consistently hard both inside and outside the classroom. As a reward, the students were treated to an exclusive private screening of It and I at Event Cinema, Westfield Liverpool.

The day started with unlimited snacks and Christmas classic, Home Alone, before our students arrived at Liverpool Westfield’s eager to continue the day. On arrival, students got to enjoy exclusive access to the cinema arcade games before the film screening.

As an added bonus, student had the entire cinema to themselves and got to enjoy movie snack favourites of popcorn, drinks as well as chips and nuggets. Through the crunching of popcorn and slurping of drinks, laughter could be heard throughout the entire cinema.

After the screening, students got to enjoy a yummy lunch of their choice. Our students received glowing reviews from cinema staff for being respectful student representatives.

A sleepy bus ride home was on the cards, where students shared the amount of times they all played on arcade games and the lessons they learnt from the film. What makes this day extra special is seeing the smiles on our students faces and their continued display of respectful and responsible behaviour.
