Stage 4
Year 7 students have begun exploring the topic of ‘Positive Relationships’ during their theory lessons. In practical lessons, students participate in a variety of Net/Court Games such as tennis, netball, basketball, volleyball and pickleball.
Year 8 classes are focusing on developing their cyber safety education and skills during Term 3. Outside the classroom, they have started participating in Invasion Games, including OzTag, Gaelic football and soccer.
Student participation and engagement in practical lessons contribute to their overall PDHPE grade. We encourage all students to approach practical lessons with a positive attitude and active involvement.
Stage 5
Year 9 students have begun the Sexual Education unit this term, with an assessment task due in the last week of term. In practical lessons, classes will participate in invasion games, including OzTag, Gaelic football and soccer and will progress to Modified Games towards the end of the Term.
Year 10 are concluding the 'Arrive Alive' unit on road safety at the start of Term 3, in preparation for their examination period in Week 8. Students attended the B Street Smart excursion in week 4, where they observed a reenactment of a vehicle accident and heard stories from those involved and emergency services. Students engaged with a range of services to further understand the learning taking place in the classroom.
