Camden High P&C August 2026 Update
Phillip Farrugia, one of Camden High’s head science teachers, presented at the recent P&C meeting. Families learnt about the culture of science at CHS and the new curriculum for Years 7 and 9, and the incoming curriculum for Years 8 and 10 in 2027, and then the senior years. The new syllabus is moving towards investigation and getting out of the class room. The CHS science faculty will be evaluating these changes for each cohort.
Mr Farrugia also spoke about Science Week and the activities staff have planned, including forensic workshops, a planetarium, excursions, Big Fun Show and a science cinema.
Attendees always find these brief presentations incredibly helpful and we thank the staff for making the time to attend.
The next presentation will be about NESA. A topic that many xxx parents may be keen to better understand and a great opportunity to ask questions.
Uniform survey
The P&C were able to hear initial data from the uniform survey. Thank you to those who filled it out, there were 245 responses. The next meeting will be an opportunity to hear the evaluation of the survey and discuss as a group. It would be great to see new faces at the meetings and help add extra voices to the conversations with the school, especially about a topic that so many families have shared concerns over.
Cookie Dough Fundraiser
The P&C are running a Billy G’s cookie dough fundraiser this term to help raise funds for school resources. Please consider supporting the drive. Tubs are ordered online for $22 and each tub raises $4 for Camden High.
Head to the Camden High P&C fundraising page to place your order.
