VICTORIAN PREMIERS’ READING CHALLENGE
The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge is well underway. All students have been registered to participate and challenge themselves to read more to improve their literacy.
To meet the Challenge, students need to read 15 books (10 from the Challenge list on the VPRC website and 5 free choice titles) between now and early September. Students can log on to the VPRC website at https://vprc.eduweb.vic.gov.au/home, click on Student Login and Edupass login and then type their school email address (@schools.vic.edu.au) and Edupass password. Students search for the books they have read and add the titles once they have finished each book. We’ll issue value awards every time five books are completed. In addition, students receive a certificate from the Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan and will be in the draw for prizes later in the year. Also, come check out our Library Reader Board (for students in Years 7-12) where we keep a visual tally of our readers and the books they have been reading. If you need any assistance or want to learn more, please speak to library staff.
Teighan’s Reader Board with two of our Year 7 readers, Ashraya and Abhijo . If you are reading and want to be added to the display, see Teighan in the library.
It’s pleasing to see students adding their reviews and suggesting books for their peers to read on the VPRC website. Well done to the following students for receiving Value Awards for the Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge.
