Supporting their Peers- Year 10 Students being there for Year 7 Peers

Year 7 Peer Support Program with Year 10 mentors

Term 1

On Wednesday 27th March, all Year 7 students participated in their first peer support session for 2024, Term 1. The Year 7 students have been allocated a Year 10 ‘mentor’ for this program. The peer support leaders planned all Home Group activities.

The Year 10 Peer Support leaders facilitated the session focusing on team building/rapport, developing leadership skills and participating in ‘icebreaker’ activities- ‘getting to know you’.

All Year 7 students were involved in valuable discussions with their mentors in the last 15 minutes of the session.

Thank you to staff supervising, Year 7 students and Peer Support leaders for their planning, effort and enthusiasm in this session.

The Year 7 students are looking forward to their next session for Peer Support in Term 2!

Here are some wonderful highlights from this session.
