Year 10 Future Tradie Taster Program at ONTTC

Our year 10 students have been given a fantastic opportunity to explore a range of trade areas this year. 

A group of our LNSC students are participating in the Future Tradie Taster Program at the Outer Northern Trade Training Centre (ONTTC) this year!

They attend one day per week where they are introduced into a range of ‘hands on’ trade course experiences, to prepare them to make informed decisions for their vocational (VET) course they select in Year 11 and 12. 

The course offers an insight into both the practical and theoretical skills and concepts as well as key modules in the job readiness skills program. In addition to this, the students complete a Construction Industry White Card.

Students rotate between three different trade areas, being Building and Construction, Automotive, and Electro-technology. 

On Tuesday 28th May, I surprised our students with a visit and took the opportunity to see our lovely students in action, practicing their newly learnt trade skills!

We would like to thank ONTTC Manager, Adrian Konieczny and his fantastic staff for providing this brilliant program.
