PCE Biology at La Trobe Uni

As part of the Year 12 Biology Unit 3 AOS1 curriculum, students would be taking part in a workshop exploring the applications of Biotechnology. The workshop is organised by Ag STEM at La Trobe University for our students. On 15th March our students ventured into the world of STEM. Here are some of their thoughts about the day.

The PCR workshop hosted by La Trobe University was an excellent way to further our understanding on the application of biotechnology in our modern society. We were able to make connections with what we had learned in class about DNA manipulation and behaviour, which helped deepen our understanding and comprehension of the topic. Overall, it was an amazing experience and a well organised learning opportunity for our year 12 Biology Class.

It was a great experience that had made it easy for us to learn more about PCR and Cell electrophoresis.

If I had the chance to attend it again I would because it helped me learn more about the subject.
