Expo Evening

Hi everyone, my name is Nour, and I am a year 7 student here at Lalor North Secondary College. 

At the College all our staff are respectful towards every student no matter what. The teachers here are all very patient with the students and very helpful, therefore; teachers will be there help with all the things you might be needing assistance, for instance; if you are having trouble with a subject your teacher is there to help out, and they would explain it 100 times, until you do understand the topic. All the teachers are also very knowledgeable in their subject that they are teaching.

 At most times there will be a support staff in the room to help assist the students needing extra help or are having a hard time understanding or just having a hard time in general. They will also be there to assist the teacher in keeping the class settled and calm. The support staff will be roaming around the room and basically helping students understand the question when the teacher is busy with other students. From experience I can say the support staff are always there to help and also will explain it until you understand it!

 Our well-being staff; Shahana, and Jacob are also very kind and if students are feeling worried, anxious or nervous. Your child is able to make appointments with either one of the well-being officers at any time to speak with them during school hours. They both ensure that you are feeling okay and ready to continue your day. Shahana also has 3 guinea pigs for students to hold and play with when they are with her. Both Shahana and Jacob care about your well-being and feelings and will listen to you no matter what. 

Also, all the teachers in the school always stay calm when handling matters to ensure that all are feeling safe.

The collage also holds a lot of extra support clubs- homework club, and maths club and many more.

From experience I am loving high school so far it was a massive change from primary school, but the teachers made the transition easy. Although I was scared, I now feel at home and at peace with my teachers and friends😊!
