Back-to-Back clean sweeps this Term!

Tuesday 1st September was another extremely successful day for the Wantirna College Athletics team; we had 120 students compete in sunny yet windy conditions at the Knox Athletics Track.

Below were Wantirna’s Age Group Champions, these students earned the most points for their age group and will be presented with a medal at their next year level assembly.:

14 Girls: Alexis Johnston 

14 Boys: Patrick Koedyk 

15 Girls: Sami Waddell 

16 Girls: Keira Moroney 

Wantirna finished first place in the female category scoring 634.33 points, with second place in this category scoring over 200 less on 432.5 points.

Winning must have been a common theme throughout the day as the boys were able to beat out 2nd place by a considerable margin of 100 points in their respective category scoring themselves 605 points.

Wantirna has won the Knox Division Carnival Treble, by winning the Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Carnival in 2026, for the second year in a row - we also did this in 2025. 

An incredible achievement, thankyou to everyone who has competed for Wantirna College across the last couple of years to make this happen.

Massive congratulations to everyone who competed, we had over 40 students qualify for regionals which is on Thursday 8th October.
