Assistant Principal's Report - Julia Bay
We have had a great start to Term 3 at Doncaster PS and thoroughly enjoyed celebrating with our Preps as they achieved the milestone of their first 100 days of school! We are looking forward to some exciting events coming up over the second half of the , including Science Week, Book Week and Level 4 Camp Rumbug.
Student Celebrations
We are proud of all Doncaster Primary School students and enjoy the opportunity to celebrate their achievements at our assemblies each week. This term, Maya and Fletcher from Level 6 and Lynette from Level 2 have shared with us their achievements in athletics, hockey and ice skating respectively. It was great hearing about their determination to pursue their passions and pride in their successes. If any DPS students have something they would like to share with our community at assembly, please let your classroom teacher or myself know. We look forward to hearing about many more pursuits and achievements over the year.
DPS Behaviour Curriculum
When students leave Doncaster Primary School, we want and expect them to be respectful, thoughtful citizens who are proud to be DPS students, strive to be their best and consider their impact on others and the broader community. We support students in this through our behaviour curriculum, which focuses on promoting our school wide positive behaviours of being respectful, being safe and being our best as outlined below:
Be Respectful - We accept everyone and treat them with care. We value others, their opinions, ourselves and our environment.
Be Safe - We ensure that students, staff and our community always feel safe. We look after others and support them in any way we can.
Be Our Best - We show determination, pride and success in everything we do. When faced with challenges, we show courage and think positively.
At assembly each week, you will hear from our SWPB (school wide positive behaviour) Captains about our focus for the week to ensure everyone is welcomed and valued in our DPS community.
