LOTE (Chinese)

It has been a busy and exciting term in our Chinese sessions. Our students are making fantastic progress across all year levels, developing both their language skills and intercultural understanding.
Our youngest learners in Prep have been focusing on "My Family". They are joyfully learning to introduce their parents, siblings, and grandparents in Chinese, and proudly sharing who is in their family.
Building on this, Year 2 students are exploring the practical topic of "Directions". Learning to describe the layout of their homes and give simple instructions, building a strong foundation for real-world communication.
Meanwhile, our Year 3 and 4 classes are delving into the world of "Emotions". Students are not only learning the vocabulary for feelings like 'happy, sad and angry', but are also practising how to express their own emotions in Chinese, promoting both language and personal development.
Finally, Year 5 and 6 students have been working on "Self-Introduction". They are crafting detailed presentations to talk about themselves, their interests, and their families with growing confidence and fluency.
I am very proud of all the students' hard work and enthusiasm. I look forward to seeing their continued progress later this term. Why not ask your child to share what they've learned in LOTE this week?
