Principal's  Report

Dear Parents and Friends of DPS,

It has been a wonderful and busy time across our school, with many opportunities for students to learn, grow and celebrate their achievements. 

Our Whole School Assemblies continue to be a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and celebrate the achievements of our students. It is always a pleasure to recognise students who have demonstrated our school values, worked hard in their learning, shown kindness to others or achieved personal goals. Congratulations to our Level 2 students who performed beautifully with their song all about gratitude. Our Dance Group and Choir were also a highlight. In addition to our Whole School Assemblies, our Mini Assemblies provide another opportunity to celebrate student learning and achievement. 

Huge thanks to Mr Spinks and staff for organising the athletics day last week. The weather was perfect and it was great to see all students from Levels 3-6 cheering each other on. Good luck to all the students going onto the District level to compete for DPS.

We look forward to the Prep-2 Athletics Day in a few weeks' time. 

We will soon be inviting a randomly selected group of parents and carers to participate in our Parent Opinion Survey. We strongly value the feedback of our families, and I encourage those who are invited to take the time to complete the survey. The survey is available in multiple languages.

Your feedback provides us with an important understanding of what we are doing well and where there may be opportunities for further improvement. 

Our school will undertake a school review in 2027, and the information gathered through the Parent Opinion Survey will form an important part of our review process. The feedback and data collected will help us identify meaningful priorities and set purposeful goals as we develop our next Strategic Plan.
