Out of this World!
Term 3 has started with a blast off as students launch into their exciting new unit on Space! Students have begun researching and drafting information reports on a space-related topic of their choice. From black holes and planets to astronauts and space exploration, there is so much to discover. Students have been brainstorming, researching and organising interesting facts to create informative and engaging reports. We can't wait to share their finished work with you. It is sure to be out of this world!
Maths
Students have been developing their understanding of place value, an essential skill that underpins all areas of maths learning. We encourage families to continue supporting this learning at home by writing down numbers and asking your child to read them aloud. This simple activity helps strengthen number knowledge and confidence. This week, students have also begun exploring decimals, applying their place value understanding to numbers beyond the whole. While this has provided a challenge, students have embraced the learning with enthusiasm and are making great progress.
