Celebrating our House Captains
As we edge ever closer to the end of the school year, it is time to celebrate our incredible Year 12s. The Class of 2024 have brought so much energy, House spirit and passion to Gandhi House not only this year, but over the course of their whole St George’s journey. It has been an absolute joy to see them shine across this year and I am so proud of the incredible people they have become.
I would particularly like to acknowledge Azeva Sukadis who has been an incredible leader for Gandhi House. Her passion and enthusiasm is infectious and has shone throughout the whole of the House. Azeva’s leadership has set a very high standard of House Captain for our upcoming years to aspire towards. Thank you Azeva.
Therefore, I would like to now take this opportunity to congratulate our new leaders for 2025. There are an incredible nine Gandhi students who have been elected into leadership positions for next year. A special welcome to Rory Bingham our 2025 Gandhi House Captain and MacKenzie Marshall our School Prefect – Gandhi House. Gandhi House is in very safe hands!

It is once again the bittersweet time of year where we say goodbye to our graduating Year 12’s. The Class of 2024 have been exceptional role models to the younger students in Lincoln House and I am so proud of the effort and achievements they have made over the years.
From swimming, cross countries and athletics, to theatre challenges and Interhouse Dance, House Weeks, Battle of the Bands, Sync Swim . . . the list goes on. Even if it wasn’t necessarily a student’s speciality, to watch so many get in and give it a go was a pleasure to see.
Many Lincoln students came to these events to support their friends and that was wonderful to see. I hope the House spirit of support and camaraderie is something you take with you into your lives outside of St George’s.
To Audrey, Alicia, Kiera, Will and our House Captain Sadie, thank you for always being there for the House. You have embodied the Lincoln Spirit in all that you do, and I couldn’t have asked for better role models as you pass the baton to Sophia and the younger students.
Looking forward to the future, I would like to congratulate Sophia Warren – House Captain, Joss Walker – Performance Captain, Orla Neri – School Prefect – Lincoln House and Blake Hutton – Music Prefect, in their appointment to their Student Leadership positions in 2025. I can’t wait to see what you bring to St George’s and Lincoln House next year. I am very confident that you will be incredible.

First and foremost, congratulations to the Mandela class of 2024!
Thank you for being role models to the younger students of the House.. You have carried the spirit of Mandela House with pride, and your energy, enthusiasm, and commitment have not gone unnoticed.
From cheering for you at the many House Carnivals, to encouraging you to bravely perform at various events, to spending countless lunchtimes together perfecting our Glee and Sync Swim routines, I have quickly come to appreciate the wonderful, talented (and very passionate) people you all are.
Please know that your PCG Tutors, myself and all of us in Mandela House are all really proud of you, and all you have accomplished. We wish you the very best for your future endeavours. Good luck with your exams. You will be missed.
Next week, for Extended PCG, we have a Mandela House event. This term we will do something a little different and have a House Picnic Party to finish off the year.
Can I please ask that everyone brings in something small (biscuits, muffins, bag of chips) for the event, where will all go down to Supreme Court Gardens and share the food among the House as a Picnic and play some games of sport. Please be mindful of food allergies in creating a shared plate of food and for those student super allergic please can you bring a bag of food just for you!
I am looking forward to a good day where we can come together and celebrate everything great about Mandela House.
Keep up the great work Mandela.
Mr Thomas Dempers
