Juliette has been chosen to play the role of Tess Tyler by the Playlovers Community Theatre Group, which has been around since 1956 and puts on four to six productions a year. Camp Rock, aimed at 11 to 18 year olds, will premiere on 16 January 2025, at the Tricycle Theatre at Mount Lawley Senior High school, with the show running until 25 January. “I am most excited to be able to make so many new friends with like-minded and passionate people,’’ Juliette told The Dragon. “I am very happy to have a project to work on, and with the talent I saw at the auditions I can tell it's going to be amazing. I am excited to play Tess because she is not really the kind of stereotype I try to fit into - being very bossy, sassy and egotistical - so it will be interesting and a good learning experience for me to put myself into that role.’’
We are proud to announce that Zara has been nominated as a state finalist in the National History
Challenge. Competing in the Democracy category, Zara’s outstanding analysis of the Gough Whitlam Government dismissal earned her the title of Young Historian Silver winner. Zara took inspiration from the Palace Papers, a series of letters between the BBC and the ABC analysing the events that led to the Whitlam Government dismissal of 1975.
As a state finalist, Zara will attend the WA state presentation ceremony on 26 October. National finalists will go on to Canberra.
Best of luck, Zara!
