It is only four more sleeps until the foyer of 140 St Georges Terrace is transformed into a gallery of St George’s artworks.
All our Visual Art and Design students whose work is on show are invited to attend opening night with their families - on Tuesday 22 October from 6pm.
Our annual arts exhibition will be on display until 2 November so be sure to pop in.
This semester has been filled with exciting developments and memorable moments in our Dance and Drama programs. Some highlights:
Cheerleading
Our Mega Dance Company has been making waves as they embrace a new cheerleading style, developing an encouraging atmosphere where students can shine. The energy and enthusiasm in the studio has been contagious, creating a sense of community and collaboration among our dancers. Their hard work is sure to pay off as they prepare for upcoming performances. The students even managed to get brave Year 8 student Taylor Rhodes into a full extended stunt in our first rehearsal!
Jazz at Kings Street Arts Centre
Our Year 11 Dance class continues developing their jazz routine and teaching assessment this term at the prestigious King Street Arts Centre. Students are benefiting from the facilities, which allows them to refine their technique and explore various styles of jazz dance. The collaborative atmosphere at King Street Arts Centre will foster teamwork and camaraderie too as they navigate their assessments in this exciting space. By working together, they will not only grow as dancers but also as a cohesive unit, ready to present their hard work in a final performance.
Fond farewell
As we approach the end of the semester, we bid farewell to our Year 11 and 12 Dance and Drama classes. These students have shown incredible dedication and passion, and we are proud of all they have accomplished during their time with us. Their contributions to the arts program will be missed, but we look forward to seeing their future successes.
What will our next production be?
We are thrilled to announce that our 2025 production announcement is just around the corner. It promises to be a fun, engaging and inclusive play that captivates both our students and the audience!
