Year 9 & 10

Year 9: Time to grow

As we step into Term Four, I know many of you will be feeling a mix of emotions. For some, there’s the excitement of being reunited with friends after the holiday break, while others might feel a little anxious about returning to the fast pace of school life, with learning and studying in full swing again.

Some of you may also start thinking ahead to Year 10 and realise how close you are to Senior School – a reminder of how fast your school career is progressing. The important thing to remember is that this term will fly by, so make the most of every moment. Take every opportunity, challenge yourself, and push yourself to grow – because that’s where real progress happens I am looking to the Year 9s to demonstrate their respect for learning this term and giving of their best in their classes. Let’s make this term a great one.

Year 10: Exams soon

It's hard to believe that exams are only five weeks away! This is your last opportunity to really improve your marks and finish the year on a high note in your selected subjects. For some it will mean the ability to meet the prerequisites to study your preferred subjects in Years 11 and 12. These exams are of crucial importance to all students.

I encourage you to focus on sharpening your study skills and managing your time effectively – these habits will serve you well, not only for this term but in the years to come. And remember, never be afraid to seek advice if you're feeling unsure. Homework Help is a great place to do this supported by friends and teachers. The term will pass quickly, and before you know it, you’ll be back as Year 11 students with Senior Status.

Good luck and enjoy the journey ahead.
