SSV Coburg District Cross Country Championships
Yesterday, the SSV Coburg District Cross Country Championships were held at Harold Stevens Reserve in Coburg, with students from schools all across the district coming together for a fantastic day of competition.
St Fidelis was proudly represented by approximately 35 students competing in the 10, 11 and 12 year age groups. In extremely competitive races featuring up to 90 runners in each event, our students showed incredible resilience, perseverance and determination throughout the event.
The 10 year olds tackled a challenging 2 kilometre course, while the 11 and 12 year olds completed a demanding 3 kilometre run. Each race began on the Coburg Athletics Track before continuing through the surrounding parkland and finishing back on the track in front of cheering spectators.
All of our St Fidelis competitors should feel very proud of their efforts. They represented our school brilliantly by encouraging one another and giving their best effort across a very challenging course.
A very special congratulations goes to Skyler, who achieved an outstanding 10th place finish and has qualified for the Division Cross Country Championships to be held next week. What a fantastic achievement!
