Naisha B – Gold Medal, National Taekwondo Championships

Naisha recently competed at the National Taekwondo Championships in Perth at the end of 2023 and took home Gold in the Sparring Division. 

Naisha is no stranger to competition competing and medalling at the 2023 Taekwondo Gold Coast Open, where she took home one silver and one bronze medal. Naisha also competed at the 2023 Victorian Taekwondo Sparring Championships walking away with gold in her category. 

We are very proud of Naisha and her commitment to her sport, and it is thrilling to see one of ours represent the school community with success. Congratulations again, Naisha!

Wei X-N – Chinese Association of Victoria: Designing the banner used to celebrate Chinese New Year Festival in Melbourne

Our Year 11 student Wei had the great fortune of being able to design the banner to be used for the Chinese New Year Festival in Melbourne recently. 

This event gathered many thousands of people from across the state to Melbourne CBD to celebrate Chinese New Year which included festival dances and music, street foods, light shows and art displays. 

The event was held on 24th February and Wei’s work is displayed at a venue which was part of the celebration, as well as a soft copy distributed on media social. It is fantastic to see such talent on show at such an important cultural event like this from one of our very own – great work Wei!
