School production

The cast and crew of Box Hill High School’s 2024 Musical, UrineTown have been working hard rehearsing since the first week of Term 1 to prepare for the show, which opens May 1st.

This hilarious parody musical, about droughts, water shortages and the global climate crisis features a cast of students ranging from Years 7-12 and is brimming with laughs, energy, and a few hard-hitting truths.

The Director, Ms Leah Gargano, has been hard at work nurturing the creative visions of our students into scene after scene of comedic gold that showcases the singing, acting and dancing talent we are proud to have at Box Hill High School. Our Musical Director, Mr Thomas Williams, has been refining and rehearsing our students’ vocal skills as well as leading a small band composed of entirely Box Hill High School Students, and our first-time Choreographer, Ms Amanda Ghanem, has been training and teaching our highly energetic dance ensemble. In the wings, our Tech Team leader and Lighting Designer Toby Wheeler has been working closely with Staff Tech Team Coordinator, Berni Sweeney, to bring the technical aspects of the show to life.

We are all very excited for the chance to bring this new, unusual and hilariously funny musical to life as we showcase the amazing efforts of the cast and crew to the entire Box Hill High School community.
