VCE & VCE Vocational Major  Report

Claire Blower

As we move through the final weeks of Term 2, it has been fantastic to see strong engagement across both VCE and VCE VM programs, with students demonstrating commitment, growth, and increasing independence in their learning.

We are also looking forward to recognising a group of our high-achieving students from both Year 11 and Year 12 at our upcoming High Achievers Lunch on Wednesday next week. This is an event that celebrates students who have demonstrated outstanding academic effort and achievement so far this year and specifically in Term 2. It is always a valuable opportunity to acknowledge success and share in the positive momentum of our senior school community.

Across our VCE VM program, it has been great to see a range of projects unfolding this term, with students developing and applying real-world skills in meaningful and practical ways. These experiences continue to strengthen teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and initiative, and it is exciting to see students take ownership of their learning in different contexts.

In VCE, students have also been working with focus and purpose as they approach assessment and examination tasks. For many of our Year 12 students, including Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) students, the GAT this week was their first examination experience, and they should be commended for the way they approached this important milestone. Our Year 11 students have also stepped into their examination period well prepared and studiously, demonstrating strong study habits and maturity.

Looking ahead, our Year 12 VCE scored students will be completing their practice examinations in Week 2 of the upcoming holidays, providing an important opportunity to refine their skills and prepare for final assessments later in the year. For the Year 12 VCE scored cohort, they are also going to be attending school on the upcoming Professional Learning day, Tuesday 21 July,  to come together and complete some structured study, revision and practice for their subjects.

Thank you to all students for the way they are continuing to engage, persist, and strive for their best across both pathways.
