English Department Report 

As we near the end of Term 2, and by extension Semester 1, we have moved very firmly into exam season. Last week, our Year 10 and Year 11s completed their exams. Thank you for your efforts in doing so. 

Throughout the coming week, our students in Years 7-9 will complete their own exams in class time. This is an excellent opportunity to understand the way that this style of assessment is completed, and gives students a wonderful chance to showcase their own knowledge and understanding in a more formal context. 

Our classes have largely also begun to finalise their assessments for the current units, leaving us with Week 10 to begin introducing our next units, giving students plenty to consider over the upcoming holiday break. 

As this is the last Newsletter of the term, I want to wish you an excellent break, and I can't wait to begin anew in Semester 2.
