Art Department Report
Tegan Crosbie
As we reach the end of a vibrant Semester in the Arts, we celebrate the creativity, effort, and growth of our students across all year levels.
Our Year 11 students have completed their “Shrines to Self” artworks, exploring identity through themes of self, childhood, and nostalgia. These works demonstrate strong conceptual thinking and personal expression.
Year 12 students have submitted two resolved artworks as part of their folio development, showing dedication to refining their ideas and techniques as they work towards their final assessments.
In Year 10, students have been painting works inspired by myths and legends, producing imaginative pieces that explore storytelling through visual language.
Students have also completed their Semester 1 exams, an important opportunity to demonstrate their written analysis skills, which are essential in Arts learning.
Featured in this Newsletter is a selection of highlighted student artworks that showcase the skills, creativity, and techniques developed throughout the Semester.
We look forward to an exciting Semester 2, with new electives beginning in Years 9 and 10, and our Year 12 students commencing their final assessment pieces.
