Year 12 Report

Claire Blower

We’ve had a really positive and busy few weeks in Year 12, with a strong focus on both wellbeing and academic preparation. Students have participated in a range of wellbeing initiatives designed to support connection, balance, and positive Mental Health throughout a demanding term. Alongside this, students completed the General Achievement Test (GAT), demonstrating commitment and focus in what is an important milestone in the VCE calendar.

To finish off the term, Year 12 students will come together next week for a Tenpin Bowling excursion. This is a chance to step away from study for an afternoon, enjoy some time together, and acknowledge the effort that has gone into the term so far. We will also have our last Senior Social! It will be great to see the students get dressed up and have fun with their peers one last time as well.

I want to acknowledge how proud I am of the way Year 12 students are consistently presenting themselves as role models across the school. The maturity, respect, and positive approach to learning that students are showing—particularly in how they are engaging with their studies—is setting a strong standard for others to follow.

A reminder for students to continue checking their attendance levels, as this remains critical for success in Year 12. Attendance catch-up sessions will be running next term for students who need to improve their attendance levels. Further information about these sessions will be communicated shortly, so please keep an eye on Compass for updates.

I wish all the Year 12 students a restful holiday break and look forward to seeing them back to start their last full term of Year 12 in Term 3!!!
