Science Departmentt Report 

As we wrap up Semester 1, we conclude with examinations for our Year 9, 10 and 11 students. The exam period provides all students with an opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned throughout their Semester 1 Science Studies. 

The end of a semester also marks the conclusion of some of our elective subjects, including Sports Science, Applied Learning, STEM (Year 9) and Psychology. Next term will see the introduction of a range of new and engaging electives across Years 9 and 10, including Horticulture, Advanced Science, Investigation STEM (Year 10) and Forensic Science. 

Our Year 12 students recently completed their final Science lesson, during which they created sherbet and watched Mr Creece demonstrate the power of chemical reactions with a dramatic balloon ignition. Alongside the practical activities, they also enjoyed some classic science songs, revisiting some memorable moments from junior science.
