Cooper Muir (5 Millward), Fraser Pollock (5 Aherne) and Oliver McKenzie (5 Millward)

Congratulations to Cooper Muir, Fraser Pollock and Oliver McKenzie who had a successful day representing Girton in golf at Ararat.  

 

Cooper won the event shooting 40 from 9 holes and will play in regional finals in Ballarat on the 24th of October.   Fraser shot 56 and Oliver 60.

 

Hunter Wright (6 Aherne), Ethan Hook (6 Riley), Byron Ritchie (5 Jenkin) and Lewis Ritchie (5 Jenkin)

Congratulations to Hunter Wright, Ethan Hooke, Byron Ritchie and Lewis Ritchie who competed in the Bendigo Junior Football League under 12A premiership team. Golden Square 12A defeated Maiden Gully 8.8.56 to 5.2.32. They played the entire season undefeated.

Christian Iuliano (8 Millward) and 

Matthew Saxon (8Frew)

Congratulations to Christian Iuliano and Matthew Saxon who recently competed in the Under 15 National Lacrosse tournament in Adelaide.  Christian and Matthew were selected as members of the Victorian representative team “Northern Warriors”.  The competition involved 10 teams from most Australian states plus New Zealand competing in a round robin tournament over 7 days. After a tough week of matches in some very warm conditions, the Northern Warriors team placed 6th overall.

Patrick Eddy (11 Jenkin)

Congratulations to Patrick Eddy on outstanding results at the recent World Road Cycling Championships.

James Humphry (12 Millward)

Congratulations to James Humphry who competed at the 2019 ICF Wildwater CAnoeing Juniors and U23 World Championships at Bunja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

James' results were:

Individual Sprint & Classic Races:

K1 Sprint ranked 26 out of 49 – winning time 53.92 secs – James' best 60.5 secs

K1 Classic ranked 24 out of 47 – winning time 17.29 mins – James' time 18.48 mins

Team Sprint and Classic Races:

K1 Sprint ranked 6 out of 12 – winning time 58.91 secs – AUS 61.19

K1 Classic ranked 9 out of 12 – winning time 18.14 mins – AUS 19.44 mins

Aerodance

Following on from the Aeroschools National Championships, several students competed on the Gold Coast at the National Clubs Carnival.
