Aherne House Dinner

Wednesday, 9th of October, was the night of the Aherne House Dinner. A fantastic night filled with dancing, singing, photos and food: much fun was had. The opening act was the Aherne band directed by Dr Lichnovsky and they performed Valerie. With MC’s Isabella and William, the night ran smoothly with the next performance being the Year 8’s and their dance-off to the songs Party in the USA, My House and Dynamite. After that we had dinner which was either lasagna, potato salad or chicken schnitzel.

Then the night kept rolling on with Year 7’s "Sweet Aherne" (Sweet Caroline) and the Year 11’s "Officially Ordinary," in which they put as many shirts on as they could in 1 minute. After the Year 11’s came the Year 9’s and The Decades, a great assortment of music throughout the decades. Then we got the treat of witnessing a fashion show unfold, with the Year 10’s, Next Top Model who showed off the latest fashion trends. Soon after came a delicious dessert, apple cake or lemon tart and the acts kept coming. Then came the long awaited Year 12’s act, The History of Year 12, where everyone got up and sang and danced.

It was a brilliant night, where everyone dressed up fabulously, many songs were sung such as Lay me down, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Dancing On My Own, Danny Boy and All Of Me plus and extra dance off between Charlie Wardrop, Lenny Keats and Ruben Notarangelo. Thanks everyone for rocking up and making the night what it is!
