Jones House Dinner

‘Who Dunnit?’ was the question on everyone's mind at the Jones House Dinner last Thursday. The nights theme was ‘Jones House Murder Mystery’ and included a satirical mystery set in the year 1924 regarding the sudden death of beloved Assistant Head, Mr Matthew James.

As the story unfolded, told to the audience throughout the night, attendees were required to unpack the motives of select Jones staff members and each Jones Tutor Group to solve the murder mystery.

The night was vibrant as avid students manoeuvred around the room in search of clues whilst jumping in and out of the photo booth.

Featuring an impromptu performance from guest drummer Mr Matthew Maruff , our talented jazz musicians played live throughout the evening adding to the 1920’s atmosphere.

Ranging from a Bohemian Rhapsody cover, a comedy act titled ‘A Funny’, a kazoo orchestra, ballroom dancing and a sentimental throwback medley (by the Yr 12’s),  the individual and House Tutor acts were the source of prime entertainment.

Overall the night was successful and hopefully one to remember.
