Jenkin House Dinner

A Night at the Brownlow, a Jenkin Interpretation

The 14th of October saw a multitude of students decked out in decadent colours for a night of frivolity. The red carpet was replicated, and the decorations were the epitome of classy. The magic school bus like arrival of the Year 12s’ started the evening off, with Mrs Barton’s excitement rivalling that of Mr William’s! This competitiveness would soon move to ‘Best Dressed Teacher’, which, spoiler alert, was won by Mrs Barton. Tutor acts were once again taken to the next level, with revenge being a key motif to win this year-round. But the performance that was awaited by all in Jenkin, was that by the elusive ‘Milkbreak’. A band whose hype throughout the year was unprecedented, and their performance certainly left much to be envied. Each act and performance showcased some fine talent, and some stunning vocals, much to the thanks of Mr McMillan and the theatre technicians. Our captains once again set a fine example with their puns and pie charts, showcasing this years Jenkin domination. It certainly was a night to remember, with a huge thank you certainly present for the work done by Mrs Philips and Mr Williams all year and the Jenkin House Dinner Committee for the bringing together of such a memorable night.
