Basketball: Winter Season

The Winter Season of Girton basketball club came to an end in term 3.

Girton entered 25 teams across Junior and Senior School, 11 of these teams made it into the Finals with

5 teams making it to their repsective Grand Finals.

Girton Opals U12 Div 3 girls coached by Mr Paul Flanagan lost their Final by 8 points, Girton Gold U14 girls Div 1 coached by Lauren Swatton won by 10 points with Sarah Radford being

awarded MVP. Girton Topaz U16 girls Div 1 coached by Mr Darren Burn lost by 1 point in a very tight match. Girton Benchwarmers U18G Div 2 coached by Mr Shaun McCarthy won by 5 points

with Ronell Masiboy being awarded the MVP. Girton Raiders U18G Div 2 coached by Mr Mark Bell and with only had 5 players for the game due to injury lost by 22 points.

The players, coaches and managers also enjoyed a presentation/pizza afternoon in the last weeks of term where all teams had their MVP and Coaches awarded presented.
