NEW SCHOOL BUS FOR MICKLEHAM SECONDARY COLLEGE
From Term 1, 2026, we’re introducing a new school special bus service for Mickleham Secondary College.
The new school special will run between Kalkallo and Mickleham Secondary College.
The new school special will give students living in Kalkallo more ways to get to school by bus.
Students that live near Donnybrook Road and in Mickleham can catch Route 525 to school as well.
Please see the route map and timetable that was sent with this letter.
What is the new service called?
The morning service route number is S5019A and the afternoon service route number is S5019P.
When will the service begin?
28 January 2026, which is the first day of Term 1.
Will the new service be coordinated with school bell times?
Yes. S5019 will arrive 10-15 minutes before the morning bell and will depart 10-15 minutes after the afternoon bell.
When does the service run?
S5019 will run once in the morning and once in the afternoon on school days.
Will all school bus stops have signage?
No. Some school bus stops won’t have signs and may be located across the road from public bus stops that do. Students and parents should check route maps and timetables to confirm which side of the road to wait on.
Who will operate the service?
CDC, on behalf of the Department of Transport and Planning.
Is the service ticketed?
From 1 January 2026, all passengers under 18 years of age will be able to travel for free on public transport, anytime, anywhere in Victoria.
