CURRICULUM MATTERS

Our Presentation evening was held on Monday 9th November in the Nazareth Pavilion. Congratulations to all students who were recognised on the evening for their success in the areas of academic, sporting, performing arts and individual service. It was wonderful to see so many parents in attendance to help celebrate, particularly after the limited opportunities provided for parents to attend college events in 2020, due to COVID.

YEAR 6 INTO 7, 2021 - ORIENTATION DAY AND PARENT SESSIONS

The Year 7, 2021 student Orientation day will be held on Thursday 19th November. A short Information Session for parents will be held on Thursday evening. Please ensure you have completed all Enrolment Acceptance requirements prior to your child attending on this day.

YEAR 11 - EXAM BLOCK AND PATHWAY ELIGIBILITY

Year 11 parents and guardians have been sent a link to a letter regarding ATAR and QCE eligibility requirements.  Students have now completed their Unit 2 assessment and are encouraged to carefully consider whether the current pathway remains appropriate. As with all information provided, the school encourages students and parents to meet with relevant personnel to discuss their individual pathway and gather information related to their needs.

YEAR 12 – EXTERNAL ASSESSMENTS AND END OF YEAR

Our Year 12 cohort have finalised their formal assessment and said farewell to the St Mary’s community at yesterday’s Graduation Mass. You are all to be commended for the way you approached your final assessments, whether during the external assessment block or finalising Certificates and applied subjects. 2020 has been an interesting year and it has been wonderful to witness the incredible resilience of this cohort – it was always going to be a big year (without COVID) and you all just continued to turn up and do your best. Congratulations!

All students need to ensure that they have their LUI number and password stored in a secure place so that they can access results on the day of their release. Results will be released online in your myQCE student portal (found on the right-hand side of the QCAA homepage) on Saturday 19th December. Also keep a close eye on QTAC offers and the relevant timelines as these could be tight.

We wish all our graduating class the very best in life; make the most of the opportunities that come your way…
