29th Kool Skools Album

🎶Tonal Whiplash

Wangaratta High School’s 29th Kool Skools album is officially recorded! We’ve proudly been part of the Kool Skools project since its inception in 1997 - and this year’s album is absolutely jam-packed.

Across two huge days at Empire Music Studios in Melbourne, students from Years 7 to 12 recorded 12 tracks.

The album also features this year’s Talent Quest winners, Fridge Girl, and Best Vocalist winner Alexis Cox.

Our cracking album artwork was created by our dedicated media team, Leila Hyland and Zach Wills, led by teacher Laurence Adorni Dickson -and a huge thank you goes to Madina Ganieva for her amazing photography.

Thank you to Paul, Trevor and Alex at Empire Music Studios (formerly Studio 52) for once again helping our students bring this album to life.

Projects like this take many hands, and we couldn’t do it without Carlia Van Hoorn and Leah Anderson - thank you both for everything you did to help bring it all together.

A huge thank you to Keyna MacPhee, who coordinated, communicated, cajoled, and contributed some questionable comedy, as well as supporting students throughout the recording process.

And an enormous shout-out to the exceptional Scott Solimo, who not only taught and prepared these young musicians, but continues to make sure they have access to projects like this and the incredible experiences that come with them.

And he drove the bus.

With a bit of everything - from punk, pop and rock to swing, screamo and more - it’s sure to give you…TONAL WHIPLASH.........Coming soon.
