They Came, They Performed, They Conquered Wonderland!

After a fantastic weekend of performances, Wangaratta High School’s production of Alice in Wonderland has officially come to a close — and what a wonderful adventure it has been!

For many of our Year 7 to Year 11 cast members, this production marked their very first experience on stage. What began with nervous anticipation, concerns about remembering lines and the challenge of performing in front of an audience quickly transformed into confidence, pride and excitement for what comes next.

Production Director Nicky Powell reflected on the experience:

“It has been an absolute honour to see these wonderful young people grow into their roles and I am so very proud of them, as well as thankful to all of the people who helped make this happen.”

From the cast and crew to the staff, families and community members who supported the production, there were so many people behind the scenes who helped bring Wonderland to life.

The students truly blew us all away with their talent, enthusiasm and commitment. Watching them grow throughout the rehearsal and performance process has been incredibly rewarding, and they should be immensely proud of what they achieved.

As Nicky says, “Onwards and upwards” — and who knows what adventures await us next year!

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in Alice in Wonderland. You conquered Wonderland in style! 🎭
