From Nick Sell, Senior School Science teacher
Year 3
The students have been investigating habitats and the different parts that make up an animal's home. We are using this information to create a college of a chosen habitat to build our understanding of the influence and connection between different biotic and abiotic factors in a habitat.

Year 4
Studnets have been learning all about trophic levels and the role of producers, consumers and decomposers in its hierarchy. They created a food web and discussed the relationship between the different plants and animals in the web.

Year 5
Over the next few weeks the year 5 students will be creating their own animals! Taking our understanding of physical, behavioural and physiological adaptations, the students are making animals that suit their environment and are able to survive and thrive!
Year 6
This week the grade 6’s have been learning all about fungi. They looked at the different features of fungi and discussed their anatomy. Then they created an experiment to grow fungi on bread in a zip lock bag. Next week we will look at the results of our experiment.
