Prep
This week Preps have been welcoming our new yabby. They have created their own mini ziplock aquarium, discussing the living and non-living components of a yabby/fish tank. They have also started looking at plants, learning songs to help remember the parts of a plant and taking photos of plants with iPads.
Year 1
This week we have been focussing on feathers and how they help an animal survive. We used microscopes to look at the features of feathers, used the tip of a feather to write using food dye and drew a labelled diagram of a feather.
Year 2
This week students have been starting work on their marine animal research project. It has been great to see students bringing their own information into school for their project. The students started the project by writing about the appearance of their marine animal.
