The Week Ahead

We are reaching the exciting, yet chaotic part of Term Four where Christmas advertisements have started on TV, carols will soon be blaring in shopping centres, but there is still important learning happening in classrooms, exams to be completed, and 2023 achievements to be acknowledged and celebrated. With three weeks of school left, we still have a lot to do!

Year 10-11 Examinations

Students undertaking Year 11 ATAR courses are currently completing their Semester Two examinations, while Year 11 APEx students are taking the opportunity to undertake some workplace learning. All Year 11 students will return to school, and their regular classes, on Monday 27 November. Next week Year 10 students will complete their Semester Two examinations. They have regular classes on Monday and are only required to come to school for their exams from Tuesday to Friday. Attendance on Monday however is compulsory for all Year 10 students.

Festival of Learning

We also have some exciting school events taking place in Week 9 of term, including the Year 7 to 10 Activities Week or Festival of Learning and the Transition to Year 12 Week.

 Academic Awards Assembly

On Monday 4 December we will acknowledge the academic achievements of our students at the Semester Two Year 7 to 11 Academic Awards Assembly at St George’s Cathedral.

This event will be livestreamed to allow everyone to see the awards being presented. On the evening of December 4, we are excited to host our first Lessons and Carols Service starting at 6.30pm at St George’s Cathedral and look forward to seeing the school community gather for the festivities.

Year 7-11 Presentation Evening

On Wednesday 6 December we will celebrate our 2023 Presentation Evening, also at the Cathedral starting at 6.00pm. This is a compulsory event for all students in Year 7 to 11. Some seating will be available for families who wish to attend until the Cathedral is at capacity and then will be standing room only. Therefore, RSVPs are not required.

Uniform Orders

Families looking to purchase uniform items for the commencement of the 2024 school year are advised that Tara Uniforms will be closed for the Christmas break from Thursday 21 December until Monday 8 January 2024. Their normal opening hours will resume from Monday 8 January – 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

They will also be closed on Friday 26 January for Australia Day. Families can order uniforms online at www.tarauniforms.com.au or in person at 1 Hasler Road in Osborne Park.
