Group 23 

One of our group’s many highlights this term was provided by two of our hard-working senior students – Sahithi and Sai – who both deserve very hearty congratulations for their recent nominations and awards they received at the 2026 Knox City Council Volunteers of the Year Ceremony. 

These awards were announced at a special council function held at the Knox City Council on the evening of 20th May, and they recognised Sahithi and Sai’s excellent contribution to the local Meals on Wheels program over a number of years. 

At these awards it was publicly acknowledged that Sahithi always approaches each Meals on Wheels delivery ‘with warmth, reliability and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of others, helping residents feel respected and supported’ whilst Sai was praised for being a volunteer who ‘approaches his role with pride and commitment, always greeting residents with a warm smile and friendly manner’.
